This is Me

Nothing But the Truth

Saturday, August 29, 2009

One Word:

Unbelievable.
None of my friends are in my homeroom, or even the same team. That means they won't be in any of my classes. They are all at least 9 doors away from mine. Why me? They all have classes together, and then there's me, the loner on the other team with no friends who never talks and has no personality. Why does it always have to be like this? Now I'll have to hear my friends talking about the fun times they have together that I'll never have day after day.
I did find out one person in my homeroom, but I really don't like the girl. If you are that girl and you're reading this (I highly doubt it), sorry, but it's the truth.
School is starting in days. I'm nervous. Not so much about the actual school part, but the social part. I used to think that when people aren't nervous about the learning and more nervous about people, it was lame, but it's just as bad, even worse.
Do you like the small text? It's supposed to give it a special effect. Not feeling it? It's probably going to hurt your eyes, so just tell me and I'll make it bigger.

Orange You Glad?

Orange you glad? I'm posting. Finally!

I have to read Small Steps for summer reading. I can't do it. I don't enjoy reading about criminals and people who have seizures.
And after that, I have to read a book about suicide. By September 3rd. Did I tell you this already?

Which reminds me why I'm upset.
School starts 5 days earlier than last year and ends 5 days later. I don't know why. Principal- That's not very nice! LOL.

I'm not doing much. Practicing trumpet for my concert, going on the computer, waiting for the world to change. Ha, ha.

The good news is: My friend is back from camp!
The bad news is: All my other friends are gone.

I mean, come on! Are you serious?

Oh, well.

So You Think You Can Dance just ended. Jeanine won. :)

Summer and SYTYCD

Citizens,

Hi! It's me, Ali Taylor. I obviously haven't posted anything in a long time, so I might as well say that I'm having a pretty good summer so far.

The Bad News
- 4 of my friends are away at camp for 5 weeks to three months and starting next week my friend is going away for 3 weeks. Oh, joy. Should be an exciting summer.
- I have a Math packet to do and the whole thing is about fractions, decimals, and percents, the three things in Math I dislike the most.

The Good News

- My mom said it's okay for me to go to horse back riding camp. And my grandma is paying for half or it, which makes it much easier on my out of work mom.
- My friends will be at the camp with me. Not my best friends, but my school friends. If that makes any sense.
- For at least a day, I get to go to my friends beach house. We don't have a beach house; we live close enough to the beach (well, sort of). But I've been told that this beach is better because it is private and the water is clear... what a concept! Water that isn't polluted!
- My mom said that she'll try to get us tickets for the So You Think You Can Dance tour this year! And since the tour is coming to us on a Saturday, she said we can wait for the dancers after the performance and try to get a picture/autograph. *cheers*

Until next time,
Ali

Walkie Talkies- GRR!

Citizens,
My parents left the walkie talkies on while they are doing yard work, and now I here this random conversation:

Person 1: Big Bird to Mama Bird, Baby Bird is in the pool. I repeat, Baby Bird is in the pool.

Person 2: Mama Bird to Big Bird. Over and out.

Person 1: Big Bird to Mama Bird. Meet me by the umbrella.

I just want to chuck it at out neighbors, who are jumping on their trampoline and screaming.

A Kong Toy- Fun for the whole family!

Did you know...

Adam Lambert is an Aquarius? So am I!

He also says his proudest moment is falling in love.
I'm pretty sure. I was reading quickly, but I think it's true.

Today I tried to get my dog to play with this Kong toy.

He wasn't interested.

But I was! It was amusing, and I still haven't gotten the treat out. And trust me, I have tried many tactics, one including stabbing it with a fork.

I don't think I'm doing anything today. It's noon and I'm still in my pajamas.

I don't want to be a 'bother' to my friend- I called her twice- she wasn't home once. Her brother picked up and said she would call when she got home. She's home; she didn't call.

Yuck.

Pugs and Kisses,
Ali

Sorry, Long Time No Blog!

Hey, everyone! :) I bet you've missed me dearly. I was kicked off, so - SHH! - don't tell anyone about this! Call me Secret Agent Ali. xD

Who watched American Idol? LOVED Adam and Allison. I'm definitely buying their albums.
I liked the beat/rhythm of No Boundaries, but the lyrics were very cliche.

I'll be watching SYTYCD this year, and hopefully can score tickets to their tour. Who's with me?

I was at mt first band competition- youngest and only girl trumpet player, thank you very much. We won in our division, jazz band in their's, Best Overall Jazz Band (I'm not in that one- yet!), and our keyboardist got best soloist.
Highlights:

Hotel room with 3 other girls; no parents
Indoor pool with 'strangers'- actually just other band members, but almost all of them are older than me.
High fiving a trumpet player
Doing an Irish Jig (but I'm not Irish)
Going on a ride with people a grade older than me- that's a big accomplishment. xD

It was a lot of fun.

So, yeah, that's what I've been up to.
I think I'll post again today. So, until then:

Report Card

People,
Thanks again for coming.

So last time I told you how scared I was about the test(s). I got news...

So I was terrified for the big test in math. Right? Well...

I got a 93 (which is an A-). My total for the whole year is a 94 (an A).

I got to see my social studies average... 99! Like I keep telling myself, best year ever.

Just wanted to let you know.
